The Hub City Movers was founded in 1969 in Austin Texas. Members were Charlie Sauer, Jimmie Gilmore, Ike Ritter, Ed Vizard, and Jerry Barnett. The Chicken Song was from a Feds and Heads comic by Gilbert Shelton, titiled "Set your Chickens Free", which the HCM set to music and used with permission from Shelton.
