Please leave the artist name as Robert Lund. Sorry for the confusion.

Every Robert Lund song submitted to the FuMP so far has lyrics by me, and I added myself to the artist name there just to clarify that we're two separate people. Most of Robert's stuff, however, was (and still is) not written by me. The first parody of mine he recorded was "Slay Ride" in late 2002; I had nothing to do with any of his work prior to that, and he continues to do the majority of his work on his own.

Most of Robert's work, incidentally, is done for specific radio markets and/or promotions, so it escapes the attention of most dementia fans, myself included. Our collaborations for the FuMP and the occasional CD are just for fun.

I have to admit that I thought they were the same person, myself.

My first submission to The FuMP was Ad World. Spaff left the comment, "Try Viagra Try Viagra" as an obvious reference to a similar event in the song.

I responded to the comment, "Ban the bastard!" as the obvious continuation of the event, then said, "Just kidding, Robert Lund!" when it was Spaff who had left the comment.

I know better now.

Please leave the artist name as Robert Lund. Sorry for the confusion.

Every Robert Lund song submitted to the FuMP so far has lyrics by me, and I added myself to the artist name there just to clarify that we're two separate people. Most of Robert's stuff, however, was (and still is) not written by me. The first parody of mine he recorded was "Slay Ride" in late 2002; I had nothing to do with any of his work prior to that, and he continues to do the majority of his work on his own.

Most of Robert's work, incidentally, is done for specific radio markets and/or promotions, so it escapes the attention of most dementia fans, myself included. Our collaborations for the FuMP and the occasional CD are just for fun.

I think Spaff told me he started writing for Lund in 2003. So anything before then, such as Totally Jazzed, Traffic Jamzz, the two country albums, etc. was not by Spaff.

Spaff visits here from time to time. He need only mention it and I'll change it. Meanwhile, I've added both to the 'members' box, but I can't control who's credited first (not by conventional means, anyway) since they're always listed alphabetically.
