| Music, Sex and Cookies was first recorded and released on Cincinnati radio station WEBN Album Project 3 in 1978. The song also won the Amateur Open division of the 7th Annual American Song Festival in 1981. Music, Sex, and Cookies became somewhat of an "undergound" hit in the late seventies, yet apparently still has a following on the Dr. Demento Show, and persists on the Internet in multiple (often mutated) versions. The song was recorded (with permission) by Michael Spiro on his album "Timeless", as well as recorded in bootleg version(s) by innumberable other folksingers (without permission, but tolerated).
