That's what I was thinking. The Alesis boards look VERY similar (identical) to Behringer's UB series products, which are now discontinued, replace by the XENYX series. I'll bet they are made in the same factory in China. I own a Behringer EuroRack UB2442FX-PRO that on the back says: "Conceived and Designed by Behringer Germany, Assembled in China."

It looks very similar to the Behringer Podcastudio, which I'm currently using. But for a comparable price, it has an extra two input channels.

Wow.... Man, I would love to have an extra $250 lying around right now. That is a very cool kit.

Sorry if this post seems like spam-vertisement. Captain Wayne, feel free to delete this, or ask me to and I will.... but I thought some of our artists on this site might genuinely be interested in this deal for podcasting and recording:

www.bswusa.com/proditem.asp?item=PODCAST-STARTER

(I am not affiliated with this company, but I have done business with them for over 10 years)

Remember back when a good cassette recorder used to cost $250?
