leave it to al to make charles nelson reilly relevant again 2 1/2 years after he died! i followed up my recording of last night's show with a "match game '77" that was on this morning. i used to watch "match game" right after i got home from school back then. 1977 was a great year for dementia, too. along with al, homemade tapes by sulu, damascus, and barnes and barnes became staples of the demento show.
THOSE were the good old days.

Sadly, i forgot it was on, even though I mentioned it to my wife...TWICE. Should have programmed the DVR, but forgot..duh.
Reagardless, without seeing the show, i know that performance was from BEFORE the actual show taping, as Al twittered "I'm totally singing with the Roots right now!" during the day (which you can actually SEE HIM DO in that video clip as he frantically tries to put his cell phone away), followed by "Getting ready to tape Late Night w/ @jimmyfallon" 3 hours later...so, yeah...yay internet!
Also...just found this on the Tubes of You:

That show was pretty strange, Edward Norton, Hulk Hogan, and Al on one episode?
