"I Still Get Demented" Show Returns October 31st!

It's back as a series!

The long dormat dementia and comedy showcase of songs, sketches, and parodies is making a comeback
in time for the Halloween weekend with a marathon airing exclusivelt on dfsxradio.com.

The original run of ISGD began as a regular series in January of 2003
and ended in July of 2007, though a web-only download version
was produced in August of 2007.

Now that live 365 has caved in and decided to give all of their streaming package
subscribers more space, the time felt right to make the move to put the premier
dementia radio show back into production.

DFSXRadio can be heard by clicking on the link
www.live365.com/stations/davidtanny?play

The first ISGD show subject will be Halloween, and just in time for the holiday, the DFSX playlist
will flip to airing ISGD continuously from just after 9pm Pacific time on October 30
(midnight October 31 Eastern time), and will air in a looped mode until the late hours of November 1st
when DFSX's stream will return to its normal format.

The Dementia Holiday channel featuring Halloween Dementia through November 1st can be heard
right now at www.live365.com/stations/classicweird?play
and after that date, it will flip to playing Comedy Christmas and Other Holiday songs and sketches through December 25th.

"I Still Get Demented" will feature a slightly revised opening and closing montage,
as well as a few rerecorded sweepers between some songs, as well as some DFSX tips
in the seven-segment program, which runs three hours.

"ISGD" will not be available on a podcast, another radio station, or as a streaming download
on another website. It will exclusively on the DFSX stream and won't be made available for sale.

On a related set of news, the two-year old series "The Mad Music Comedy Zone" has ended its run
in its current form. It had been partially running as an anthology series, and beginning with the November
1st edition, it will officially become a weekly one-hour anthology series running some three
times a month, meaning, a different show
produced under the umbrella title "MMCZ" will air on themadmusicarchive.com.
Among the rotating series include Steve Jarrott (until the episodes run out), Four Play
(sets of four songs by different artists, or four artists featured for the hour-long show),
Mega Play (playing multiple songs from a single artist, something DFSX cannot legally do),
Stream of Conciousness (where one song leads into another), 80's Enough,
Vintage Dementia, Geek Madness,
the DFSX Time Machine, The David Tanny Show podcasts, Dave's Music Notes, The Humpday Specials,
New Strokes, The Dementia Resurrection Zone, WACK FM (where it plays what Dave can't play
on his stream or podcast), and edited sneak peeks for selected upcoming episodes of
"I Still Get Demented."

On occasion, The Mad Music Comedy Zone will feature guest hosts who want to try out their
show hosting skills, since DFSX doesn't soliticit specialty shows for its stream.

After the Halloween episode, "ISGD" will return bi-weekly beginning with a second show
beginning on November 7th and airing several times a week. The days and times are:

Saturdays: 10am ET, 9am CT, 7am PT

Mondays: 9pm ET, 8pm CT, 6pm PT

Mondays: MID ET, 11pm CT, 9pm PT

DFSX used to program a feature called "Big Wednesdays", with specialty shows running
most all of the day, as well a programming an early incarnation of "The Dementia Top 20"
radio show, and airing shows produced by independent studios such as "Kahnman's Comedy Corner",
"Dave's Gone By", "Little Orphan Archie", and "Steve Jarrott".

DFSX programs its lone in-house specialty show "I Still Get Demented" as a collection of separate
mp3s for use on live365.com as required by the rules of the Digital Millenium Copyright Act
(DMCA), meaning, that every song played relays the song title and artist information while they
play on the stream.

Most radio show submissions produced by independent production facilities fail to acknowledge
the extra work involved in making the shows usuable on live365.
The single mp3 audio file full of copyrighted songs has to be
chopped into sections and embed the info on each piece so that once it plays the correct song
titles and artists will come up. It's a time consuming chore that takes up to 45 minutes to
chop up a 60 minute show, and it's time that doesn't exist due to economic conditions.
It's a problem that is being discussed on several other threads on the live365
forums involving mixshows as well.

Comedy artists who perform music, skeches, stand-up, and parodies are welcome to submit
their works to host David Tanny by e-mailing him at dfsx@dfsxradio.com, or sending a package
(mp3 rips encouraged for faster response) to David Tanny, DFSX, PO Box 19569, San Diego, CA 92159.

Donations of $1 or more are accepted to help pay for the stream.
For information about donating, just visit the home page of dfsxradio.com for details.
